Tin Foil Robot

Maddie has been really into monsters, aliens and robots lately and I have no clue why but that's okay with me. Today she set to work making her very own robot!

Materials: Tin foil, disposable cup, pipe cleaner, glue, buttons, scrap paper, googly eyes

I drilled holes on either side of the cup to later use as arm holes. Next up we tore of a good size sheet of foil (enough to cover the cup) and squiggled a bit of glue on it.

Wrap the cup in the foil and then poke the pipe all the way through the cup. I am sure you could do it other way but this worked best for us because I knew the arms would get pulled off if we just stuck them to the sides.

After the arms are assembled flip the cup over and add a good size glob of glue to the top to secure a head. For the head crumble up a good size piece of foil and then press it against the table to make a cube shape. Now it's time to decorate! I cut out a 'control panel' out of sticky paper and Maddie glued on buttons for the controls!

Mad has been using a video games joy stick all afternoon to 'move' her robot around. Well really he just sits there but it is all about the pretend play!
