Christmas in Connecticut

I have thanked my hubby a millions times by now I am sure but I am so happy he was willing to make the 8-10 12 hour drive to Connecticut so we could spend the holidays with some of our family!

Maddie enjoyed some cookie making fun with her Uncle Russell while hubby and I snuck out for a date night!

We took a trip to Mohegan Sun to see the giant gingerbread house. Sadly Maddie was more excited about the Krispy Kreme next door calling her name with a sprinkly donut!

Due to our lack of living in the area my mom generously hosted the annual family Christmas party. Maddie was thrilled to see some of her family and play with a few cousins!

Poppy kept us toasty warm throughout the week with a lovely fire. Oh how I miss our fireplace!

Christmas was fun for all!

Well maybe not all. Poor Loki and Gabby got stuck wearing their lovely holiday attire!

Santa came to Connecticut of course!

Although if we travel for Christmas next year we either need to rent a mini van or Santa needs to only delivery to Virginia. Two kids and a dog will make things a bit more crowded next year!

I was SUPER proud of myself for not only keeping hubby's special gift a secret but also for teasing him about it for the past 2 months without giving it away. Secrets are not my strong suit.

We had a wonderful Christmas despite our rush to beat the storm. It was a wonderful time visiting family and friends! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and will enjoy the New Year!
