Test Drive

Earlier this week I posted THIS about my new friend! I really couldn't contain my excitement when the FedEx man delivered her! Of course the minute she was unpacked and I figured out the necessary bits it was time to get to work. For my first quick 'get to know you' project I whipped up these Adorable t-shirts for two cute little baby boys I know!

A few weeks ago I got a great deal on some Echino fabric but really I had no plans for it. Oops! I am in the process of making quite a few reusable snack bags with it but I knew I wanted to make some adorable shirts too!

I used a light weight fusible webbing and then used a zigzag stitch all around the patch. The Echino fabric frays beautifully around the edges so I washed and dried and trimmed afterward to give them a great worn look.

If you haven't stopped by The Giver's Log yet you are seriously missing out- I find loads of inspiration there. Recently I found a post about using a Crystal Light container as packaging and knew it would be perfect for these tees.

There is even a whole section at The Giver's Log on packaging ideas for 13 ounces or less- uber creative!

For my first little project with my new machine I am THRILLED with the results! I hope these bring a smile to a few faces this week too!

We got ours! It's adorable and I cannot WAIT for cooler weather so Baby Evan can be super stylish in his thermal!
