I am sure it is no different in your home but we are incredibly busy this time of year. Unfortunately Madison isn't particularly interested in making ginormous pans of lasagna which was my task for the week! So instead I set Madison up with a giant bowl of candy, glue and an adorable foam gingerbread man.
I picked up the foam cutout at AC Moore but I am sure your local craft store will have something similar, or you can always free hand with a piece of brown foam. This year I was pleasantly surprised to find Michael's was selling individual bags of gingerbread house candy to accompany the house kits (which we also grabbed!).
While I spent my afternoon in the kitchen Madison sat at the kitchen table having fun decorating her foam gingerbread man! I am sure she snuck a few pieces of candy too! All of the extra candy I stuck in a Ziploc bag and will pull out when we work on our gingerbread house.

**You could easily scale down the gingerbread man and turn it into a Christmas ornament too!**

B saw this and said she would like to "do this." Thanks for the idea.
Whoa, Madison is a creative little girl. I think my daughter would have eaten all of that bag :)
What a Great job. I am amazed at how talented she is. Great Grams
So cute!! I was so excited about the individual bags of candy at Michaels too :0)
Her gingerbread man looks WAY better than my gingerbread house that year we made them, Amanda. :-)
Great idea! I STILL have Halloween candy leftover. This would be great!
