A Little Help Please

Over at Chasing Cheerios they did this awesome ice cube painting and I knew that I just had to do it with Mad! As soon as I saw her post I set to work filling an ice cube tray with water and food coloring. Today was finally the day that I broke out the ice paints. Maddie had a ball and said that it was 'super cool mommy'! I gave her some blank greeting cards to decorate and I think they will make wonderful thank you notes.

As for my need of help.....
Every year around Maddie's birthday we give her a blank canvas to paint however she wants and I was wondering if you think that the ice paints would work on it. Like I said it is food coloring (I used the paste kind because I have a TON more colors in that variety) along with water. Any ideas? I suppose we could always just give it a whirl and see what happens!

I've done it before it would work just make it alittle more vibrarnt and intense if you afraid of fading! We did it on tiny canvas boards and its still just as pretty as it was when we did it!

I did this with my kiddos several months ago. Lots of fun. I'll have to do that again with them; thanks for sharing. I'm no help concerning the canvas question though; sorry!

That is the coolest..oops no pun intended there... idea ever! I have a ton of paste and liquid food coloring and my kids would absolutely LOVE to do that! The only thing is I don't have any ice cube trays. I stopped trying to keep ice frozen so I just buy bagged ice now. I wonder what else I have that I can make colored ice cubes in...I'm gonna have to go check now!

OMG thanks for the idea! I have mini muffin tins! I bet I would have seen them and thought of it if you hadn't said it first! I love the snow in the winter and sled riding, just don't like how long winter lasts, compared to all the other seasons. If autumn could last as long as winter did I'd be in heaven!
