Ice Cream Invites

Yippee!

Last night I finally finished making Mad's birthday invitations! We decided on an ice cream theme this year and oddly enough I have been procrastinating a bit. We won't be celebrating Maddie's birthday until August 1st but usually I am so disgustingly over organized for her birthday and already have everything waiting in the wings by now. Oh well!

I am proud to announce though that I whipped myself into shape and got all of the initiations made. And I really need to do this:

THANK YOU AMY!!!!!

My best friend wrote the inside of the card for me which I am truly very thankful for. Amy has such a gift for words and did an amazing job on these!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The inside of the invitation reads:

Another year gone by,
How can it be?
Madison B is about to turn three!

It's time for a party,
come keep cool from the sun!
Join us for some very sweet fun!

Here's the fun-filled scoop,
hope you'll come and play!
It's pizza for lunch then make your own sundae!

With whipped cream and sprinkles,
maybe a cherry or two,
hot fudge or caramel? Whichever suits you!

RSVP to Amanda,
What a blast it will be!
Please join us to celebrate Miss Maddie turning three!

You can stop by Amy's blog Bambino and see how her first pregnancy is coming along! It won't be much longer before she has a little one too!

You aren't the only one who plans ahead for your girl's birthday. I practically start the month after her last birthday. I think of different themes, ideas, look for stuff, bookmark. If I don't, then it is last minute and not pulled together. This year (B's birthday isn't until October) we are talking about a sharks and fish theme or a Mambo Italiano theme (B loves this song, loves it!). and I already saw some cool shark cupcakes. Maybe Mambo sharks! BTW, I love the ice cream cones and want to know if Amy will write my invites.
