Building Blocks

My husband has really taken a liking to woodworking and likes to spend the weekends tinkering around in the garage and building furniture for us. I'm not complaining!

His hobby has left him with a rather large and growing pile of scraps so instead of tossing them or worse letting the pile get bigger he let Maddie loose with some glue and her imagination to build whatever she wanted.

I have to say it was adorable to see Maddie working side by side with her dad in the garage!

She ended up working away for about an hour building her own Wipeout zone.

Umm yeah she may have a little obsession with the show Wipeout. It has sort of turned into a Friday night ritual in our house. Wipeout and dinner in the living room on Fridays. Don't judge! lol

Once her project dried I let her pick out a few colors to paint it too.

And now her Littlest Pet Shop toys have to brave the mighty Wipeout zone!

It looks like a little crabby is trying to escape!

My 3 (almost 4) year old LOVES Wipeout! She calls it Boo Boo Park for obvious reasons and she begs to watch it even when it's not on. She laughs hysterically as people get knocked around!

That is so cute! I love it! My kids love love love arts & crafts and I give them my scraps (and sometimes my really good stuff too) and let them go at it and make whatever they want. It keeps them occupied and out of mischief! And they turn out some cute things!

Haha, we have a Wipeout obsession going on around here too lol! My boys think it's the funniest thing they've ever seen. I bet they'd love to build a Wipeout Zone too - thanks for the idea! :)
