Rainbow Rain

Last week we had a few days of not so great weather with no rainbow or sunny skies in sight. Instead of making a rainbow Maddie and I decided to make some rainbow colored rain.

We used a pieces of recycled cereal box to cut out a nice big cloud shape. Maddie set to work with some white paint covering the piece of cardboard.

Before the paint had a chance to dry Maddie shredded up some pieces of white crepe paper and stuck it to the cloud to give it a nice fluffy look.

While Maddie was busy working on the cloud I cut up some sheets of Dollar Store foam into raindrops. I used clear thread and a needle to string the raindrops onto a few strands of thread.

We finished up by attaching the raindrops with packing a tape. Now we have some beautifully colorful raindrops on our back door!
