In the story the mice decide to make their own musical instruments with whatever they can find so this weekend Maddie took it upon herself to make her own musical instruments! Sunday night we spent the evening banging on pots and pans from her play kitchen.
And while we are talking about great book finds Maddie also borrowed a wonderful book full of different types of dance.
This is a wonderful A to Z or Arabesque to Zones book about dancing. Every letter features a dancing term or style with a simple enough definition that was even for Maddie. The illustrations are bright and colorful and the characters illustrate each dancing term beautifully! If you have an aspiring dancer at home Maddie gives this two thumbs up!
