Muffin Tin Monday!

Ah. It's Monday again, it just sort of sneaks up on me! Today's Muffin Tin Monday theme is Copycat, meaning that we get to copy that 'oh so cool, why didn't I think of that!' muffin tin. Maddie helped pick today's theme about a week ago, Royalty! We started doing Muffin Tin Monday's at our house after they did the Royalty theme so this was the perfect opportunity for us to go back and make our own. Unfortunately Maddie is sick so her lunch is a sick kids soup and crackers disguised as a lunch for a princess. =) I didn't copy any particular Royalty muffin tin but instead used them for a little inspiration!

Top: Fairy dusted yogurt, flowers from the royal garden (crackers), golden bricks (mini Lorna Doone cookies)
Bottom: The Royal Horse (grilled cheese), Rapunzel's golden hair (Ramen Noodles), rubies (craisins)

Funny enough the sick child's favorite was the soup!

We did manage to get a little princess inspired craft time in this morning and of course you can't have a Royal day without wearing a princess dress!

First up was foam princess crown I found for a dollar at AC Moore. Mad spent a good half hour perfecting her masterpiece!

Then we broke out the beads to make a beautiful necklace!

We finished up with a lacing activity (Maddie's first), I quickly cut out a princess hat, punched a few holes and let Maddie go to town with some curling ribbon.

Now she is on her way to being Sleeping Beauty, all curled up on the couch wiped out from the morning! If I am lucky she may even take a nap!

I'm sorry she's sick, but I love the extension activities you did. Love that lacing activity!

You did a wonderful job! She looks tired, but happy. :) For a sick toddler... that is a mommy given gift.
