Maddie has been so excited about 'Leprechaun Day' so when I spied this Easter tree at Target's Dollar Spot I knew there was a craft in our future!
We broke out my ridiculously large collection of Sharpies and some Shrink Film that I have had tucked away forever.
I traced a few St. Patrick's Day figures onto the film and then Maddie set to work coloring them all in. We ended up with 3 leaf clovers, 1 4 leaf lucky clover, a rainbow, a few leprechaun hats, and a pot of gold!
I took care of the baking which always seems like a fail to me. No matter what I do they always seem to curl up and I have to rush and attempt to flatten them. Oh well.
I made sure to punch holes in each charm before they were baked and then we finished them off with a bit of festive baker's twine so Maddie could hang them from her tree.
I think they all turned out just adorable and I know Maddie will be eager to redecorate her tree for Easter!

That's a fun kid craft idea! I imagine the tree could be useful for pretty much every holiday....hmmm.I will have to file this away for future use. :)
