Maddie received this adorable paper plate bug craft kit for Christmas and spent most of the week working on a new decoration for our craft door.
I LOVED how simple the directions were for each bug, Maddie was perfectly capable of following the directions all on her own! The kit also came with a cellophane bag for each bug instead of having to sift through a box of materials. Score!
My only complaint was the glue stick the kit came with. Unfortunately it wasn't sticky enough to hold pipecleaners, paper plates or large plastic buttons together. Instead I used the hot glue gun on the big pieces and then Maddie used regular white glue for the rest.
The easy to follow directions and simple peel and stick materials made this a super kiddo friendly and relatively mess free activity.
Each bug is absolutely adorable too!
We ended up using the bugs to decorate our craft door which unfortunately is in a very narrow hallway making taking a picture virtually impossible, oops!
Cute, cute, cute!
Now if you don't want to purchase the kit each bug is definitely easy enough to make with materials laying around the house. Granted I never have color paper plates in the house (I know BORING) but crayons can easily fix that!
